Johanna Murugan, senior partner at Juridis Law Firm, Interlaw’s partner firm in Mauritius, has been appointed to the organisation’s board of directors.

At Juridis, Johanna is a Barrister-at-Law and is qualified to practice in Mauritius and France. With over 12 years’ experience in civil and commercial legal practice, she specializes in real estate, financial services and corporate law.   

She regularly advises on cross-border transactions, acting for companies including banking and non-banking financial institutions, property developers and local and international investors who wish to structure their investment and businesses through Mauritius.   

Johanna is also actively involved with international and local NGOs, acting as pro bono Counsel and board member, and is a Professor of Property Law at the International Law School of the Université Panthéon-Assas in Mauritius.   

Commenting on her appointment, Johanna said:
